Minutes of the Virtual Meeting of Blyton Parish Council held on
Monday 7th December 2020 at 7.30pm

1. Apologies and reasons given: None.
2. To receive declarations of interest in accordance with the Localism Act 2011 and to receive any applications for Dispensation. Members may make any declarations at this point but may also make them at any point during the meeting:
Cllrs J. Daubney, A. Codd and R. Turnbull declared a personal interest in item 9 as members of the Memorial Hall committee.
3. To approve minutes of the last meeting held 26th October 2020:
The minutes were signed as a true record. Proposed, Cllr Dent. Seconded, Cllr A. Codd. To be signed later.
4. Clerk's report on matters outstanding:
The clerk informed council that the new website is now up and running.
There has still been no contact from Evergreens or Victoria Club regarding the grants for this financial year and no application so far for next year.
WLDC have fitted the new litter bin at the parish room.
Contact has been made with Williamsons Farm via telephone and email but no interest has been shown in the containers.
LCC have been asked to investigate a reduced speed limit on Sandbeck Lane by Cllr Perraton Williams.
5. Planning:
142048: erect 1 dwelling, variation of P/P at land adjacent to 9 Laughton Road: no comments/objections.
6. Correspondence:
Citizens Advice grant request: agenda.
LCC Parish agreement scheme for 2021: council to continue next year.
7. Financial Matters:
Resolved to pay: H. Pitman (salary/expenses) £529.36 & £599.60; HMRC £4 & £3.80; Axholme £249.60; WLDC £288; D. Beer £100; Glendale £384. To be paid by internet banking. Proposed, Cllr Dent. Seconded, Cllr J. Daubney.
8. Update on play park refurbishment and resolve on any matters that arise pertaining to this:
Chairman said further progress has been made with the recent addition of equipment. A complaint has been received regarding the football goal. This was discussed at length and council agreed with the chairman's letter. To be sent out by the clerk.
9. To resolve on Blyton Memorial Hall grant application:
Council resolved to draw down the grant for £1000 for 2020 towards the electrical update and to award a further £1000 for 2021 towards new, lighter tables.
10. To discuss replacement of bench on Gainsborough Road:
Council resolved not to replace.
11. To resolve on this month's Facebook posts:
Cllr Dent to post photos of the play park equipment.
12. Items of information to be noted and if necessary dealt with at the next meeting:
The old phone box with the defibrillator is looking very uncared for. The clerk to request a quote from Mr Troop for the next meeting.
With all business concluded the meeting closed at 8.00pm.
