Minutes of the Meeting of Blyton Parish Council held on
Monday 1st July 2024 at 7.30pm
Present:
Councillor L. Godson, Councillor C. Daubney, Councillor J Daubney, Councillor R. Turnbull, Councillor C. Quirke, Councillor I. Wilcock
Also Present Helen Pitman (Clerk) and WL Cllr K. Carless.
1. Apologies and reasons given: Councillors A.Codd & S. Steers
2. Co-option of Councillor: No interest.
3. To receive declarations of interest in accordance with the Localism Act 2011 and to receive any applications for Dispensation. Members may make any declarations at this point but may also make them at any point during the meeting:None.
4. To approve minutes of the last meeting held 20th May 2024: The minutes were signed as a true record.
5. Clerk's report on matters outstanding: None
6. Planning: None
7. Correspondence: Clerk read out update from the football organisers. Fixture list to go on Facebook page.
8. Financial Matters:
Resolved to pay: H. Pitman £492.31; HMRC £103.80; Glendale £245.28; Time Assured £168; Wright Vigar £498; A Deptford £172.80; Axholme Pest Control £265.50; Omnivale Ltd £1150.
9. Report from Outside Bodies: Cllr Carless informed council she has held two consultation sessions with residents; there is a public meeting on 23rd July at 7pm in Morton Village Hall re St Barnabas hospice which has been closed since covid. There have been reports of ASB at the Chinese takeaway. Local police are aware. Interest in starting a toddler group in the village to be pursued.
10. To discuss & resolve on new CCTV system: Cllr Wilcock will test his own system to see if he can get it to work at the village hall. If suitable council agreed to purchase a unit. To be discussed further at next meeting.
11. To discuss new Remembrance Day soldiers for permanent display at war memorial: Council agreed that Cllr Daubney should make two but that they should only be displayed for Remembrance Day.

13. Items of information to be noted and if necessary dealt with at the next meeting:
Complaint received re churchyard grass. Pothole on Church Lane outside village hall entrance again. Planning conditions not being met at lodges on Station Road. Clerk to report.

14. To resolve to move into closed session to discuss employment matter: Invite to next meeting.
With all business concluded the meeting closed at 8.45pm.
